Pain free dental implant treatment

About pain relief for implant treatment

The dentist explains pain relief regarding dental implant surgeries

dental clinic

The dental implant treatment is practically painless. The dental implant surgery is always performed under anesthesia by protocol. Either local anesthesia, or some sort of sedation, or general anesthesia if the clinic is equipped for this. After the surgery, pain on the site of the surgery is common on the first couple of days.

The area remains sensitive to pressure, hot and cold for a few weeks. Few patients report pain after a couple of weeks. At SODC Clinic you are handed painkillers and necessary post surgery medication free of charge. Get your free quote for dental implant

Patients about pain during implant treatment

“I had three dental implants on top and two on bottom. I wouldn’t say it was painful. Discomfort I would say… but not pain. I had extractions when I was young back in the UK and that was much worse.”

“I had to have all my teeth out and than implants so it was quite some work. The dentist always told me what to expect. There was some pain, but nothing unexpected. I had to take pain killers for a week after the surgery, but I went back to work the next day I returned home.”

I had four dental implants and bone graft on top. During the surgery I felt no pain at all. I sensed the pressure and the dentist working on the bone, but it was far less discomfort than I imagined. I am a very nervous patient but my dentist Dr Zoltan Nyarady took more time to talk about the procedure. That was really reassuring. I was very scared about pain but now that I am over it I feel it was more about the fear of the unknown.”

“I had all my remaining teeth out and implant dentures. It wasn’t painful, but to be honest I didn’t bother about that at all. I saw other people with their new teeth in the waiting room and asked them about the treatment and how it was. They said it was okay, so I didn’t worry much, and I was very dedicated to have it done.”
